Young enterprise helps Sport at D’Eyncourt

Posted by: | July 5, 2017 Comments Off on Young enterprise helps Sport at D’Eyncourt |

Thank you to all the Year 6s involved in the young enterprise project this summer. Your task was to raise money to buy a new sports kit for D’Eyncourt sports teams.

You worked well as a team and organised several fundraising events. In total you have raised just over £800! A fantastic achievement. I am in the process or sourcing/ordering new kit and we can then decide where the extra money should be spent.

Thank you and well done – you are a super year group who will be truly missed!

I will hopefully be posting pictures of sports teams in September in their new kit- so keep checking the sports blog to see what your hard work has bought!

Athletics competition!

Posted by: | July 5, 2017 Comments Off on Athletics competition! |

Well done to the 10 children chosen to represent D’Eyncourt in Athletics last week. We had a lovely afternoon watching and participating in high-standard Athletics. A special well done to Evie and Georgia who qualified for the finals in high jump and obstacle.

Unfortunately the finals night clashes with our school production night! So, because both girls are multi-talented, they will be dancing/acting/singing instead of being superstar athletes.

Well done to the whole team – a wonderful end to a lovely, competitive season.
